Kevin “Squirrel” Nichols

SULPHUR – Kevin Lynn “Squirrel” Nichols, age 54, of Sulphur, La. went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Kevin was born Aug. 19, 1967 in DeQuincy, La. and was a lifelong resident of Sulphur.
Kevin enjoyed camping with his family. He was helpful to anyone that needed a helping hand. He loved his grandchildren, they enjoyed riding on the golf cart with him and also the motorcycle. Kevin was a mechanic at Navarre Dodge, Jeep & Ram in Sulphur. Kevin was an active member of Houston River Baptist Church where he and his wife, Tracey were Kindergarten Sunday School Teachers.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, W. A. Nichols.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years, Tracey Nichols; mother, Donna Nichols; five daughters, Brittney Nichols Burch and husband, John, Nikki Richard and husband, Justin, Amber Richard and husband, Jonathan, Kaleigh McCormick and husband, Tom, and Morgan Leger; grandchildren, Avery, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Bryson, Kennadie, Kaidance, Braxton, and Ryker; brother, Clay Nichols; and many friends he treated like family.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Houston River Baptist Church and will resume at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Houston River Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Gothrup officiating. Burial will follow in Royer Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
