Leroy Joseph Castille, age 85, of Sulphur, La., passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. Leroy was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Carlyss, La.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Carlyss, La. Leroy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was full of laughter and loved making others laugh. Leroy had a kind heart and was loved by many.
Those left to cherish his memory are his four sons, Ricky Bastian of Carlyss, Steve Bastian of Carlyss, Leroy Castille (Kim) of Mississippi, Glenn Castille (Tracey) of Midland, Texas; his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Zack, Maloreigh, Darby, Mackinzi, Rick, Brandon, Beau, Cary, Dillon; his seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Louis Castille Jr. (Betty) of Indian Bayou, La.; his sister, Jeanette Louviere (Lolin) of Belle River, La.; and a host of extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Castille; his parents, Louis and Eve (Credeur) Castille; grandson, Hunter Bastian; and brother, Harry Joseph Castille.
A Celebration of Leroy’s Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will follow in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, in the funeral home and will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning until time of service.
