Former Sulphur High School teacher Alan Brent Million, 40, was arrested this week for indecent behavior with juveniles.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board said Million was placed on administrative leave once they were made aware of the allegations and is now no longer employed by the district.

“These sorts of accusations are unacceptable, extremely disappointing, and will not be tolerated in our district,” spokesperson Holly Holland said. “We hold our employees to a higher standard, and we simply will not stand for this sort of behavior.

“Our students are our future, and it is our job to ensure they receive a quality education in a safe environment. Our campuses are full of employees with character and integrity, and this individual’s alleged behavior is certainly not a reflection of the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a whole.”

Million is being represented by Todd Clemons and Associates.

“Brent has an unblemished and exemplary record. Unfortunately, in March of this year a female student chose to make a false accusation against him. Mr. Million has never been arrested for any crimes nor has he ever been accused of any inappropriate conduct.  Since 2013 he has taught math, while also serving as an assistant football and baseball coach, at Sulphur High School.  We look forward to zealously representing Brent and the day that his good name has been fully restored,” said Todd
Clemons.
