SW La. school lunch menus May 16-20

The following menus for May 16-20 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.

MONDAY: Chicken fried beef patty or fingers with mashed potatoes with gravy, whole-wheat bread stick, great northern or navy beans, fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: Chili mac with whole-wheat biscuit or chili over cornbread bowl, cooked carrots, coleslaw, pineapple tidbits, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Barbecue or lemon baked chicken, baked beans, sweet potatoes with orange glaze, whole-wheat roll, peaches, apple.

THURSDAY: Nachos or chicken taquito, Mexican-style beans, lettuce/tomato cup, blueberries, raisins.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburger or grilled cheese sandwich, onion rings or sweet potato fries, pears with shredded cheese cup.


MONDAY: Breakfast pizza, honey bun, pears, apple.

TUESDAY: Whole-grain biscuit, sausage patty, fruit cocktail, plums.

WEDNESDAY: Cheese toast or grape crescent oatmeal, pineapple tidbits, banana.

THURSDAY: Manager’s choice.

FRIDAY: Manager’s choice.



MONDAY: Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, green beans, apple.

TUESDAY: Chicken patty sandwich, green beans, salad cup, pears.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, broccoli, garden salad, bread stick, mixed fruit.

THURSDAY: Cheesy chicken gravy over rice, sweet potatoes, fruit cup, Yocaramel dip.

FRIDAY: Nachos with ground beef, taco salad cup, red beans, cinnamon rolls, pears.


MONDAY: Breakfast sausage pizza, pears.

TUESDAY: Muffins,  mixed fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Western scramble toast, peaches.

THURSDAY: Pancake and sausage wrap, pears.

FRIDAY: Yogurt, toast, mixed fruit.



MONDAY: Pepperoni pizza, sweet corn, strawberries.

TUESDAY: Cajun red beans and rice, glazed carrots, cornbread muffins, sweet pears.

WEDNESDAY: Spaghetti, broccoli and cheese, Italian rolls, cantaloupe.

THURSDAY: Barbecue chicken, bold baked beans, honey wheat rolls, grapes.

FRIDAY: Hot ham and cheese hoagies, seasoned green beans, sweet pears.


MONDAY: Granola bars, pears.

TUESDAY: Chicken biscuit, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Breakfast eggstravaganza, ham and cheese eggs, toast, fruit mix.

THURSDAY: Chocolate chip muffins, red apples.

FRIDAY: Maple French toast sticks, kiwi.



MONDAY: Cheeseburger, sweet potato shoestring fries, broccoli and cheese, triple berry and pineapples.

TUESDAY: KFC bowl, buttermilk biscuit, side salad, fruit cocktail.

WEDNESDAY: Chopped beef barbecue on a bun, creamy mac and cheese, roasted Mediterranean blend veggies, dark green salad with cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks, warm peaches.

THURSDAY: Salisbury steak, rice, black-eyed peas, corn on the cob, tropical fruit salad.

FRIDAY: Beef fingers, yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, baked beans, red grapes.


MONDAY: Egg and cheese sliders, sausage, mandarin oranges.

TUESDAY: Cinnamon roll, Rice Krispies treats, cherry/blue raspberry cup.

WEDNESDAY: Fruit and granola parfait.

THURSDAY: Buttermilk pancakes, red apples, bacon.

FRIDAY: Glazed donut, pear cup, cinnamon granola.
