Three men were arrested around Wednesday morning, accused in an armed robbery of a Vinton convenience store.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said a worker at the Toomey Road business said she was robbed at gunpoint just after midnight by three men who stole an undisclosed amount of cash, items from inside the store and her personal belongings.

Vincent said the victim was able to give deputies a description of the car, which was later discovered by Lake Charles Police. When officers attempted to stop the car, the suspects fled and led officers on a pursuit. Spike strips were deployed by assisting agencies and the car ultimately came to a stop  in Acadia Parish.

Judge David Ritchie set each of their bonds at $855,000.

Assisting agencies are the Lake Charles City Police, Louisiana State Police Troop D, Louisiana State Police Troop I, Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, Welsh Police Department, and Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
