BREAKING: Bicycle-vehicle crash in Sulphur

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bicycle-vehicle hit-and-run in Sulphur.

Spokesperson Kayla Vincent said the incident occurred around at 8 p.m. on Lewis Street.

“Due to evidence at the scene, detectives believe the suspect’s vehicle is a Jeep Cherokee, 2010 model, possibly blue or black in color,” Vincent said. “The vehicle will likely have damage to the driver’s side headlight, hood, and windshield. The vehicle will also be missing the driver’s side mirror.”

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and there is no further information available at this time, Vincent said.
