Robert  “Bobby” Marion Chaisson

Robert Marion “Bobby” Chiasson, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, in his residence. 

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Bobby retired after 41 years of service with PPG as a Supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on things around his home, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Tiffany Rose Chiasson, and Matthew Chiasson and wife, Jo Anna, all of Sulphur; his sisters, Mickey Trouth and husband, Mike and Yvonne Landry and husband, Gene; his four grandchildren, Gabriel, Jayden, Chance, and Conner; his nephews, Gene Landry, II and Mike Trouth; and his niece, Jackie Longman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Chiasson; his parents, Marion and Bernice “Sugar” Chiasson; and a grandson, Blake. 

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Deacon Patrick Lapoint will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Olivier, Gene Landry, Gene Landry II, Clegg Barton, Gerald Spell, Keith Perkins, Terrance Hoffpauir, Arthur Davis, Larry Vance, Jimmy Price, Greg Longman, Lyle Ross, Mike Trouth, Mikey Trouth, Nick Kanelakos, and Benny Ellender. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Chiasson, Jayden Chiasson, Conner Chiasson, Chance Chiasson, Tommy Simon, and Jerry Myers.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. Saturday. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
