Allen Parish Superintendent Kent Reed has announced the closure of Reeves High School, Oberlin High School, Oakdale Elementary School, Oakdale Middle School and Oakdale High School on Friday.

Virtual learning will be available for all students at those schools.

All other schools in the parish will remain open on Friday.

Reed said the closures are due to a number of staff who have tested positive or have been exposed to COVID-19, a stomach virus and other illnesses.

All schools in the parish will be closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
