F.K. White Middle School will be closed the rest of the week due to a number of staff members who are quarantined because of testing positive for COVID or were exposed to the virus.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board said in a news release that at this point, it is not possible to obtain all the needed substitutes to conduct face-to-face instruction for the next two days.

“Like with our closures from Wednesday (S.J. Welsh and LeBlanc Middle School), virtual learning opportunities will be available to students based on staff availability. We are asking students to check their CPSB email frequently for instructional updates from the school,” the release states.
