Aulpheda (Freada) M. Powell Bonner, 77 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022 in a local hospital. She was born on Nov. 18, 1944, to Dewitt C. and Iretha Corkran Powell in Lake Charles, La.

She attended Lagrange High School, and after graduation went on to pursue a career in nursing as a dedicated Labor and Delivery nurse. She married the love of her life at the age of 17 and they embarked on their beautiful journey together. She loved spending time in the kitchen with her family, passing on her famous recipes. She was an active participant in her church choir where she and her husband attended for many years. She loved the Christmas season and the traditions she created with her loved ones. Her unconditional love will be felt for generations. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.
