Unseasonably warm conditions with no rain will persist through the Christmas holiday weekend with potential record highs on Christmas Day.
Joe Rua, lead forecaster for the National Weather Service’s Lake Charles office, said the warm conditions will continue into next week with rain chances by mid week as a front tries to push into the area.
Rua said Friday’s highs are expected to creep up to 79; Saturday-Tuesday temperatures could reach 80. The normal temperature for this time of year is between 59-63.
