Millard “Allen” Booker

Millard “Allen” Booker, age 70, of Lake Charles, La. passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021. Allen was born April 29, 1951 to Millard Francis Booker and Betty Phillips Booker.

Allen was a native of Pensacola, Fla. and long time resident of Lake Charles. He was an avid outdoorsman especially when it came to fishing and hunting and he was a  #1 Fan when it came to Alabama Crimson Tide Football. Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army until he retired with 29 years of service and then worked for the United States Post Office until his retirement after 20 years. Those who knew Allen will remember him for his love of his family, his generous heart and his loving personality.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Donna L. Booker of Lake Charles; daughters, Stephanie B. Saucier and husband Mark of Ragley and Melissa Booker-Lore and husband Christopher of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jessica Saucier, Kristian Booker, Ashlee Orgeron, Stephen Orgeron, and Tymperance Lore; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Knappen of Columbia, S.C.; and brothers, Mark Booker and wife Martha of Milton, Fla., Wayne Booker of Pensacola, Fla., and Joel Booker of Pensacola, Fla.

He is preceed in death by his parents; and sister, Barbara Johnson.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021 beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
