James Stewart Campbell

James Stewart Campbell, age 85, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021. James was born on Dec. 24, 1935 in Alexandria, La.

James proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. James was a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the American Legion.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Campbell; daughter, Cynthia Diane Campbell; parents, Ralph and Oma Campbell; a brother, Ralph P Campbell Jr.; and a sister, Charlene Verret.

He is survived by his children, James S. Campbell Jr. and wife, Sherry, Joan E (Sissy) Eubanks and husband, Robert (Spike), Brenda Gail Thrash and husband, Greg; six grand-children and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geri Campbell and Marti Campbell.

Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 122 from Dry Prong. The Rev. Bill Saxby will officiate under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.

The Family of Mr. Campbell expresses our gratitude to the nurses and to the aides for their devotion and expertise while they were with Mr. Campbell a Big Hug and Thank You.
