Art Exhibits

Historic City Hall, 1001 Ryan St., open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday with free admission — Art gallery: “The Pace Collection,” a new exhibit of Japanese Woodblock Prints through Dec. 31.

Imperial Calcasieu Museum, 204 W. Sallier St., open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, admission $5 for adults, $3 for children and $2 for seniors — “Koasati-Ko-Yomahka Our Coushatta Ways” exhibit through Dec. 23; “Folklore” by Shannon Simmons through Dec. 23.

McNeese State University Shearman Fine Art’s Grand Gallery — “The Faculty Exhibition 2021” and “Inaugural Printmaking Alumni Exchange” through Dec. 10.

Christmas At the Courthouse — 3-7 p.m. Dec. 3, Historic Calcasieu Parish Courthouse, 1001 Ryan St.; Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on site; after the lights are turned on at 5:30 p.m., stick around to watch “The Polar Express.”

Christmas In DeQuincy — 11 a.m. Dec. 4, DeQuincy Railroad Museum Park; parade, food and craft booths planned.

Christmas Under the Oaks — 1211 Ruth St., Sulphur — Dec. 2-4 with performances by Sammy Kershaw, Louisiana Express, WW Lewis Show Choir, Sulphur Cajun Ramblers, Blake Harlow, Caden Gillard.

Frances fitz-Gerald Jewelry & Antiques Anniversary Auction — 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 with proceeds going to the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

Light Up the Lake Christmas Celebration — 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4, Lake Charles Civic Center; fun run, music, lighting ceremony planned.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Parade — 5:30 p.m. Dec. 11, in historic downtown Leesville.
