Myers reappointed to state board

BATON ROUGE — Terry L. Myers of Iowa, La, has been reappointed to the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Board by Gov. John Bel Edwards.

The board’s mission is to serve and protect the public interest in all real estate appraisal-related activities through the fair and equitable administration and enforcement of the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Law, the development of education programs that promote advancement of the real estate appraisal industry, and the adoption of regulations and standards that reinforce the role of the real estate appraiser in performing objective and impartial appraisals. It is our goal to ensure that real estate appraisal services are provided to the people of Louisiana by qualified and competent practitioners who adhere to the law and rules and established professional standards.

Myers is the president of Terry Myers Appraisal Services LLC. He will represent the 3rd Congressional District as a residential appraiser.

Lanier named new director

KENNER — Rick Lanier of Lanier Plumbing in Lake Charles has been installed as the Lake Charles District Director of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors of Louisiana. The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Louisiana is dedicated to the promotion, advancement, education, and training of our industry, and to the protection of the health and safety of the public.

Cowart digital sales manager

Nadia Cowart has been named digital sales manager for Cumulus Beaumont/Lake Charles.

Cowart previously served as promotion manager for Cumulus Beaumont/Lake Charles from 2002 through 2008, and rejoins the company from KBMT-KJAC12 News in Beaumont, where she was marketing director.

A native of Southeast Texas, Cowart has more than 20 years experience in helping grow businesses and communities in the area. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in business from UTMB.

Bowers earns Young Banker award

First Federal Bank of Louisiana is thrilled to announce that Vice President and Director of Human Resources Mallie Bower has been recognized by the Louisiana Bankers Association with its annual Young Banker Impact Award.

This award recognizes young bankers across Louisiana who are making an impact in the banking industry.

“Mallie is a rising star in our organization,” commented Bank President Sam Wilkinson. “Beyond her duties as HR Director, she coordinates innovative events for our employees and is focused on expanding our diversity and inclusion at the Bank.”

Mallie, and the other four winners, will be honored at a luncheon on Nov. 30th in Baton Rouge.
