Glenda Annette Brown, 79, of DeQuincy, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 in Lake Charles. She was born to her late parents, Eugene and Myrtis Theriot on October 12, 1942 in DeQuincy, LA. Annette was a proud member of the DHS Class of 1960. She enjoyed sewing, reading, quilting, and loved to cook. She was a part of the Homemakers Club in DeQuincy and the CCU Quilting Guild in Sulphur for a number of years. Annette even won some blue ribbons for her quilts and would make dresses for her granddaughters and great granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carrol Brown; daughter, Lisa Royer (Keith) of DeQuincy; one son, Justin Brown of DeQuincy; three brothers, Ricky Horn, Tommy Horn (Lisa), and Doug Horn (Ruthie); 4 grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Lacey Bertrand, Dustin Royer, and Steven Brown; along with 9 great grandchildren; and her best friend of 60 years, Shirley Johnson.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Theriot and Myrtis Poimboeuf; stepfather, Woodrow Poimboeuf, and step mother, Yvonne Theriot; one son, Brett Brown; and her granddaughter, Amanda Wheeler; her brothers, Jean Theriot, Milton Theriot, and Roland Theriot; and two sisters, LaVonne Horn and Kathy Hardy.

Services will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 11:00am, with Father Luis Tigga officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, from 9:00am until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery.
