Throughout her life, Debra’s love language was acts of service and was most satisfied in taking care of the needs of others or when she could present them with small gestures of her affections (cooking, cleaning, making CDs of her favorite blues singers, drinking coffee, etc.).

She loved her New Orleans Saints, the Lifetime Movie Channel and spending time with her family.

Her passion to help others led her to a career that spanned 42 years and 11 months with the Lake Charles Housing Authority where she held multiple positions over the years helping countless people secure affordable housing.

Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her father, Felton (Elizabeth) Malbrough of Lake Charles; son, Adrian Malbrough of Houston, Texas; siblings, Ray (Catherine) Malbrough Sr., Linda Malbrough both of Lake Charles, La.; Stanley (David) Malbrough-Smith of Houston, Texas; nieces, Sharonda (Curtis) Malbrough-Parker, Brandi (Carl) Stewart of Lake Charles, La., Nyree (Selven) Mack of Houston, Texas; nephew, Ray (Brandi) Malbrough Jr.; Godson, Lindan Clophus; and her two “ride or die” best friends, Ms. Asa Citizen and Ms. Audrey Edwards all of Lake Charles, La. and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Debra is preceded in death by her husband, Welton LeCompte; her mother, Dora Lee Guillory; step-father, Kelly L. Guillory; and brother, Joseph Anthony “Tony Bro” Malbrough.
