SW La. school lunch menus Oct. 18-22

The following menus for Oct. 18-22 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.



MONDAY: Hot dog or corn dog chili corn, French fries, broccoli with cheese, peaches, orange.

TUESDAY: Chicken nuggets or chicken patty, white cheddar mac-n-cheese, yam patty, green beans, apricots, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Pork roast with rice and gravy, black-eyed peas, whole-kernel corn, fruit cocktail, grapes, chocolate graham cracker.

THURSDAY: Nachos or chicken taquito, Mexican-style beans, lettuce/tomato cup, blueberries, raisins.

FRIDAY: Cheeseburger or grilled chicken sandwich, onion rings, pears with shredded lettuce, apple.


MONDAY: Honey oat waffle with syrup, sausage link, strawberry cup, apple.

TUESDAY: Ham slice and grits, Trix cereal bar or graham crackers, peaches, orange.

WEDNESDAY: Plain bagel with cream cheese or toast with jelly, string cheese stick, apricots, banana.

THURSDAY: Pancake on a stick, hash brown, fruit cocktail, grapes.

FRIDAY: Breakfast break kit, muffin, blueberries, raisins.



MONDAY: Pizza, green beans, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Chicken fajitas, red beans, taco salad cup, pineapple tidbits.

WEDNESDAY: Taco soup with chips, carrot sticks, peaches.

THURSDAY: Grilled chicken poboy, sweet potato fries, fruit cup, Yocaramel dip.

FRIDAY: Corn chips and chili, garden salad, pears, brownies.


MONDAY: Cereal, toast, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: Muffins, mixed fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Grilled cheese, mixed fruit.

THURSDAY: Biscuit, ham, sliced apples.

FRIDAY: Scrambled eggs, toast, sliced apples.

WEDNESDAY: Chili cheese dogs, French fries, pineapple tidbits.

THURSDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, rice, potato salad, fruit cocktail, saltine crackers.

FRIDAY: Beefy nachos, salsa, applesauce cups.


MONDAY: Teacher in service

TUESDAY: Grits, scrambled eggs, buttered toast, diced pears.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon roll, banana.

THURSDAY: Pancake on a stick, orange wedges.

FRIDAY: Breakfast pizza, mandarin oranges.



MONDAY: Mozzarella breadstick, marinara sauce, dark green salad with cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks, curly fries, triple berry yogurt.

TUESDAY: Crunch turkey tacos, tortilla chips, fixing cup, ranchero beans, flame-roasted corn, applesauce salad.

WEDNESDAY: Barbecue -loaded potato, cornbread bowl, asparagus, dried fruit mix, strawberry mango cup.

THURSDAY: Gumbo, rice, cucumber slices and celery sticks, orange-glazed carrots, citrus fruit.

FRIDAY: Chicken nuggets, cheese sticks, marinara sauce, broccoli, green beans, baked pears.


MONDAY: Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, mixed fruit cup.

TUESDAY: Sausage biscuit, peach cup.

WEDNESDAY: Muffin-orange dream, banana slices with strawberry puree.

THURSDAY: Cinnamon roll, Rice Krispies Treat, oranges.

FRIDAY: Egg and cheese sandwich, pineapple cup.

THURSDAY: Cheesy chili mac/lasagna, buttered corn, creamy coleslaw, fruit, whole-wheat garlic bread, salad bar.
