Nancy was the true definition of a refined, classy, upstanding woman who was completely devoted to her family. Her hugs never failed to warm your heart, and her smile never failed to make another smile. She loved butterflies, fresh magnolias and gardenias from her yard, shopping, afternoon coffee with friends, and preparing holiday meals for her family. Nancy cared dearly for her Yorkies, Prissy and Sassy. Her memory will live through all the people that she touched.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 67 years Gayle “Billy” Guidry, her two daughters Leah Brame (husband Tommy) and Melanie Dulany (husband Walt). She was a loving “Maw Maw” to six granddaughters Kimberly Glasspool (husband Jeff), Kellery Barton (husband Zak), Mallory DeRouen, Mika Coates (husband Dillon), Macy Dulany, and Madison Rainwater (husband Dillan). Nancy also was a proud great grandmother to six, soon to be, seven great grandbabies.

She is preceded in death by her father Houston Sims, mother Mary Francis Smith, stepfather Macie Smith, brother Arnold Sims, and her daughter, Roxanne Gayle.

On the behalf of Nancy’s family, we would sincerely like to thank Heart of Hospice for the care and compassion they showed her in her final days.
