Ira “Shane” Cain, 87, of Pineville, La., went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Oct. 5, 2021. Ira was born in Vinton, La., and lived for 58 years with his wife, Betty, in Westlake.

He worked as a land surveyor and construction engineer for 40+ years. He has been retired for the last 30 years. Ira and Betty were long-time active members of Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake.

Survivors include their children Ricky, Brenda, Diana, and Rodney, 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at 10 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11am at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
