Linda Faye McGenity, age 71, of Mandeville formerly of Moss Bluff, Louisiana passed away in her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Linda was born on March 22, 1950 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Linda was full of life and loved anything leopard print! She loved fishing, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her family especially her grandkids.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandson, Bryant Vidrine, her father, Morris Beard, her mother, Ellda Marie Babineaux, and her two brothers, Earl and Ray Beard.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Kristi Leger and husband, Barry, and Lori Guillory and husband, Joey; three sons, James Woolford and wife, Meloney, Marcus Vidrine and wife, Michelle, and Stanley Wade Vidrine and wife, Robin; twenty-two grandchildren, Ashley, Derek, Courtney, Cortlan, Logan, Sheldon, Carson, Isabella, Amber, Madeline, Melvin, Dakota, Christopher, Matilda, Stephen, Zoey, Chandler, Blayton, Maddison, Luke, Preston, and Aubrey; a sister, Joyce Webster; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor with Rev. Michael Caraway officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
