The FEMA Recovery Service Center in the Lake Charles Civic Center is closing permanently at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7.

Until then, specialists at the center remain available to answer survivors’ questions about FEMA applications, advise
applicants about appeals, provide assistance with home repair and other immediate needs and upload documents.
