Judith Gabe Robbins Monceaux

On Sunday, October 3, 2021, Judith Gabe Robbins Monceaux left this earth for Heaven. She was surrounded by those who loved her as she took her last breath.

She was born on February 8, 1947 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Benton Homer Robbins and Hazel Olivia Glover Robbins. Although she was an only child, she gained 11 brothers and sisters after marrying into the Monceaux family. She lived in Vinton, Louisiana for over 50 years before moving to Orange in 2020. She loved Facebook, CSI reruns, reading books, arts and crafts, and she loved her daily naps. She loved traveling to visit family and going to her granddaughters cheer camps and competitions and dance competitions. She loved decorating for every holiday and loved family get togethers and dinners. She was a little lady with the biggest heart,  making such a big difference in this world and her presence will be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband of 51 years, Lawrence Monceaux; and her grandsons, Kobe Reece Tipton and Tyler Joseph Monceaux. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Laura Tipton and husband, Earl of Orange, Texas; son, Jeffrey “Bubba” Monceaux and wife, Kathy of Bridge City, Texas; niece that she loved as a daughter, Angie Maple and husband, Deanie of LeBleu Settlement; brothers-in-law, Harold Monceaux and wife, Donna and Jimmy Monceaux; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous “adopted” children who called her Mom, Maw Maw, and Grandmother.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Deacon Jesse Menard will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey “Bubba” Monceaux, Brandon Scott Tipton, Earl “Bubba” Tipton, Jeffrey Glenn Monceaux Jr., Dyson Reece Tarver, and Corey Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Kasey Monceaux and Skylar Monceaux. Burial will be in Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home.
