SW La. school lunch menus Oct. 4-8

The following menus for Oct. 4-8 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change.



MONDAY: Meatball p’boy or sliders, baked potato, broccoli/ranch dressing, mandarin oranges, mixed berries.

TUESDAY: Chicken spaghetti, yam patty, creamy coleslaw, fruit cocktail, apple, vanilla grahams.

WEDNESDAY: Potato soup with diced ham, carrot sticks with ranch dressing, cheddar cheese crackers, pineapple rings with cherries, banana.

THURSDAY: Jambalaya, vegetarian or pinto beans, mustard greens, grapes, orange.

FRIDAY: Pizza pocket or chicken taquito, cream-style corn, celery sticks with ranch dressing, pizza crackers, peaches, raisins.


MONDAY: Whole-grain turkey ham and cheese croissant, apricots, apple.

TUESDAY: Mini biscuits, sausage patty, mandarin oranges, blueberries.

WEDNESDAY: Whole-grain cinnamon and raisin bagel with cream cheese or cheese toast, fruit cocktail, apple.

THURSDAY: Oatmeal, has brown, raisins, banana.

FRIDAY: Blueberry waffles with syrup, vanilla graham crackers, grapes, orange.



MONDAY: Pizza, corn, relish tray with dip, apple crisp.

TUESDAY: Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, salad cup, baked beans, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken and sausage gumbo, potato salad, relish tray with dip, peaches.

THURSDAY: Jambalaya, mustard greens, cornbread, fruit cup, Yocaramel dip.

FRIDAY: No school


MONDAY: Toaster pastries, mixed fruit.

TUESDAY: Chicken biscuit, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Cinnamon toast, pears.

THURSDAY: Breakfast burrito, mixed fruit.

FRIDAY: No school



MONDAY: Deep-dish pepperoni pizza, sweet corn, orange wedges.

TUESDAY: Crispy chicken sandwich, sweet potato waffles fries, lettuce cup with sliced pickles, mandarin oranges.

WEDNESDAY: Beef meatballs with rice and gravy, mustard greens, red groups, cornbread muffins.

THURSDAY: Oven-roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, red grapes, honey wheat roll.

FRIDAY: Sloppy Joe, roasted potato wedges, watermelon.


MONDAY: Maple waffle and sausage sandwich, pineapple tidbits.

TUESDAY: Hot chicken biscuit, banana.

WEDNESDAY: Waffles, pineapple tidbits.

THURSDAY: Chocolate chip muffin, red apples.

FRIDAY: French toast sticks, kiwi.



MONDAY: Cheeseburger, curly fries, corn on the cob, cinnamon apples.

TUESDAY: Spaghetti with meat sauce, mozzarella bread stick, dark green salad with cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks, fruit fluff.

WEDNESDAY: Taco with ground beef, tortilla chips, fixing cup, ranchero beans, baked pears.

THURSDAY: Roast and savory brown gravy, parboiled rice, cornbread bowl, black-eyed peas, candied sweet potatoes, calico fruit.

FRIDAY: Popcorn chicken, cheese sticks, marinara sauce, French fries, triple berry yogurt.


MONDAY: Banana muffin, strawberry mango cup.

TUESDAY: Cereal, Grahamz, pineapple cup, green grapes.

WEDNESDAY: Country scramble burrito, tater triangles, tangerine.

THURSDAY: Donut holes, strawberries.
