It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved sister Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Howard on Sept. 26, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette, La.

Cindy was the oldest daughter of Seaborn Von Howard and Norma Mary Mortenson.  After settling in Westlake, La., she worked for 911 Services and eventually several of the area’s casinos, the latest of which was the Golden Nugget.  Left to mourn are her two younger sisters, Rita S. Howard (Re) and Donna M. Howard (Dude) along with the large number of people she touched. All who knew her loved her for her hugs, cheerfulness, and colorful personality.

An opportunity to say goodbye followed by a memorial service will be held at the Westlake Recreational Center at 1221 Sampson St., Westlake, LA 70669 on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Please consider live plants in lieu of flowers. Any deliveries should arrive after 2 p.m.
