Barbara Theriot, 78, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021.

She was born on Oct. 27, 1942 in Kinder, La. to Louis and Eula Mae Courmier.

She enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren’s ball games, working in her garden, reading, cooking, spending time outdoors, and watching game shows on television.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Theriot Sr.; children, Christopher Manuel (Kim) and Charles Manuel (Cyndy); stepchildren, Agnes Boudoin (Keith), Tina Horn (Ernie), Karen Deshotel, Michelle Guidry (Ricky), and Martin Theriot Jr. (Anna); 18 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Preston Manuel; daughter, Christine Manuel; grandson, Charles Manuel Jr.; and her parents.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will take place in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
