Elaine Linda LaPoint, age 79, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Elaine was born September 27, 1942 in Pineville, Louisiana to Valry and Eva Guillory Fontenot.

Elaine loved the Lord, and shared God’s word with everyone she met. She served in the Friendship’s ministries in Honduras for two years. She was a very talented woman who loved to sew, crochet, knit and do ceramics. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. Elaine had great love for her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, her Husband Leman LaPoint; sons, Leman LaPoint Jr., Richard LaPoint, Dwayne LaPoint; grandson, Torrey Baines; brother, Curtis Fontenot; sister, Lola Manuel.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Gwendolyn Jones and husband Bob of Westlake, LA, Tammy Weber and husband John of Westlake, LA, Melinda Johnson and husband Chris of Lake Charles, LA, Marcy Baines and husband Rick of Santan Valley, AZ; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren; brother, Paul Fontenot of Sulphur, LA.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at New Life Worship Center in Moss Bluff at 5pm.
