Beatrice Fontenot Vizina, 92, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Vizina was born in Oberlin, LA and lived most of her life in Lake Charles.  She enjoyed many things through the years but always liked being at home.  She enjoyed reading and watching “Chanel 9”, only the shows they ran, most importantly- her soap operas.  She was an admirable lady of her generation who devoted her life and her love to the Lord and her family.  Mrs. Vizina shared a true friendship with her siblings and neighbors and genuinely enjoyed their visits around the table and on the porch sipping coffee.  She was raised spending Sundays at her grandparents for  family meals after church, raised her children the same and in time became the hostess for growing family at her home.  She was a wonderful cook, round steak gravy, sausage red gravy and gumbo being her most requested dishes.  During her last twenty years, she became part of the Tower Oaks family where she looked forward to socializing and special events.  Mrs. Vizina leaves a family, who shares her kind humble spirit, a great love of the Lord and family unity.
