Walter Douglas Doyle, 77, of Starks, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, September, 25, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Murline Ashworth Doyle of Starks, LA; sons, Brian Doyle and Judy of Starks, LA, Roger Doyle and Kaylan of DeRidder, LA, Calvin Doyle and Rachel of Longville, LA, Leslie Doyle and Reyhana of Merryville, LA; daughter, Jennifer Barrow and Bryan of Starks, LA; brothers, John Doyle and Glenda of Clinton, AR, William Doyle and Linda of Gladewater, TX; sisters, Mary Shields of Austin, TX, Wanda English of Hemphill, TX, Patricia Miller and Vern of Baytown, TX, Martha Calhoun and Carroll of Leesville, LA, Doris Doyle and Jim of Bossier City, LA; grandson, David Doyle of Starks, LA; great grandson, Jody Doyle of Starks, LA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Gladys Doyle; granddaughter, Heather.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at First Apostolic Church of Merryville, LA. Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, also at First Apostolic Church in Merryville, LA. Pastor John Doyle and Brother Jeff Smith will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Matthew Bullitt, Steven Stracener, Terrell Smith, Eric Doyle, Jared Doyle, Kevin Rudisill.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Rigdon, Reggie Spikes, Robert White, Roy Lorenz, Cutter Denmon. Burial will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields, LA.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
