Matthews found guilty of murder

A Westlake man was found guilty Friday in the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Ronnie Southerland.
Trevor A. Matthews, 42, was found guilty as charged on one count of second-degree murder.
Matthews was accused of stabbing Southerland 78 times after giving him a ride on Nov. 14, 2019 .
Sentencing for Matthews will be held Oct. 5 before Judge Michael Canaday.
