Evans Joseph Touchet Sr., 86, of Paige, Texas, formerly of DeRidder, La., passed from this life on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021.

Evans was an electrician in DeRidder for over 40 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Evans Joseph Touchet Jr. and Todd of Paige, Texas, John Edward Touchet of San Antonio, Texas, Michael Todd Touchet and Kristin of Porter, Texas; sister, Mary Ann Navarre of Carencro, La.; sisters-in-law, Carol Touchet of Lafayette, La., Helen Henry of DeRidder, La.; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Henry Touchet; parents, Theonise and Evilda Primeaux Touchet; grandson, Josh Touchet; brothers, Gilbert Touchet and wife, Beulah, Jean Baptiste “JB” Touchet, Wilson Touchet, Remi LeBlanc; sisters, Beatrice “Bea” Borne and husband Walter, Hilda Tupper and her husband George; brother-in-law, Ernest Navarre.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La.  Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder, La.  Father Jude Brunnert, M.S. will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.   Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, La.
