Three more linked to Oakdale bar shooting

OAKDALE — Three more arrests have been made in the Sept. 4 fatal shooting at an Oakdale bar.

David Arvie, 41, Tamekia Arvie, 38, and Emmet Perry, 69, all of Oakdale, were arrested by the Oakdale Police Department Tuesday on charges of failure to seek assistance.

The Arvies and Perry, who were allegedly outside the bar following the shooting, did not seek assistance for the victim, authorities said.

Perry, who is the owner of the bar, was released Wednesday on a $1,500 bond. Bond for the Arvies is set at $1,500.

Joey Holmes, 43, of Oakdale, was arrested Sept. 8 on charges of second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 60-year-old Lonnie Davis of Oakdale.

Holmes also faces charges of obstruction of justice, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm in an alcoholic beverage outlet and illegal carrying and discharge of a weapon in connection with the incident.

Holmes remains in the Allen Parish Jail on at $283,000 bond.

The Oakdale Police Department responded to shots fired shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 at the sports bar located at 1006 La 372, also known as Ballard Road.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. He was transported to the Oakdale Community Hospital where she later died.

The investigation is still ongoing.
