Linda Lott Johnson, 72 passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 19, 2021, in a local hospital.
Linda was born on January 26, 1949 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Del Perkins Lott, Jr. and Genelle Joiner Lott. Originally from Mississippi she resided in Sulphur for over 40 years. She was a retired 2nd grade school teacher who taught for many years at Maplewood Elementary School. When she was not spending time with her beloved grandchildren, she enjoyed quilting, knitting and reading. She lived a full life of 72 years with family and friends. Linda was in recovery for 37 years.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 32 years, John LeRoy Johnson of Sulphur; her children, Loree Leigh Ogg and husband, David of Lewisville, Texas, and Edward Weaver and wife, Cassie of Keller, Texas; her five grandchildren, Ashleigh Ogg, Alex Weaver, Aidan Weaver, Andrew Weaver and Adeline Weaver; her sister, Genelle Vance; her sister-in-law Sylvia Lott; and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Del Perkins Lott, Jr. and Genelle Joiner Lott; and her brothers, Del Perkins Lott, III and James Claver Lott.
A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant.
