Jimmie  O. Morasco

Jimmie O. Morasco, 93, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, in an Austin, Texas, just 5 days shy of her 94th birthday.

Mrs. Morasco was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Smackover, Ark. She moved to south Louisiana following graduation from high school where she met and married the love of her life, A.J. Morasco. They settled in Lake Charles where she lived most of her life until moving to Georgetown, Texas in 2007. She owned a ceramic shop in Lake Charles for many years and made a lot of friends teaching them the art. She also drove a school bus for 26 years retiring in 2003. She drove elementary students and treated them like her own children while in her care. She will be truly missed by all.

Mrs. Morasco is survived by her daughter, Cherry Morasco Trapani and husband Bill; grandchildren, Gary Doucet, Lisa Doucet Blackmon and husband Clark, Joshua Morasco and wife, April, Elysia Ergle and husband Mike, and Toni Lynn Morasco. She was blessed to have several great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. J. Morasco, sons, Tony Morasco and James Morasco, and great grandchild, Ryan Blackmon.
