Garnetia Pate Crumpler, 82, passed from this life on Monday, September 20, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Garnetia, the daughter, of Joseph Lawrence Pate and Effie Bailey Pate was born on November 8, 1938, in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Visitation will begin Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10:00 AM until Funeral Service begins at 2:00 PM, at Shiloh Baptist Church located at 1253 Mitchell Harper Road in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Bruce Butts, former pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.

Garnetia worked alongside her husband in the daily operating of their dairy for 35 years. She was a caring, gentle, hard-working, loving lady and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She played piano for over 50 plus years at Shiloh Baptist Church where she was a member.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons David Crumpler and wife Shirley of DeRidder, LA, Danny Crumpler and wife Littie of DeRidder, LA, Darrell Crumpler of DeRidder, LA; one daughter Cathy Hood and husband Layne of Moss Bluff, LA; sister Effie Joyce (Pate) Robicheaux of Bridge City, TX; six grandchildren Christopher Crumpler and Cheyenne, Cody Crumpler, Kyle Crumpler and Rachel, Katelin DeLong and Brett, Bryan Green and Kat, Drew Hood and Leiflyn; five great grandchildren Alayna Crumpler, Maci Crumpler, Truly Crumpler, Dani Claire DeLong, Dove Green, and newest to arrive in October Anya Garnita Crumpler.

Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Bobby Crumpler; daughter Mary Ann Crumpler; parents Lawrence Joseph Pate and Effie Bailey Pate; sister Evalois (Pate) Whorley; father-in-law and mother-in-law Shelby Lee Crumpler and Atsie Lee Bell Crumpler.

Those honored to serve as a pallbearer are Chris Crumpler, Kyle Crumpler, Bryan Green, Brett DeLong, Jared Ripley and Kenny Bolcher.
