Carolyn Ann Viator Boone, 70, of Westlake, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at home.

Carolyn was born in Lake Charles on April 13, 1951 to Sulie and Eula Derouen Viator.  While still in school, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Boone, and they married June 7, 1969.  They began their married life in Lake Charles until 1977 when they settled in their forever home in Westlake. One was rarely seen without the other as they enjoyed each other’s company immensely, whether it was a little road trip to visit their children and grandchildren, an outing to the casino, or sitting in their favorite place, their back patio.

The patio was also her favorite place to sit with other family members, especially drinking coffee and sharing the events of each other’s lives. Other than the time spent with her husband, she also enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing, especially doing these things in service to her family.

Together, Carolyn and Kenneth have three sons, Kenneth (Gina) Boone, Jr, Keith Boone, and Kyle (Jody) Boone, 9 grandchildren, Brennan (Nicole) Boone, Caitlin Boone, Brooke (Ben) Daigle, Halie (Michael) Fournet, Jillian (Kevin) Frank, Morgan Boone, Jerica Boone, Madelyn Boone and Makenna Boone and  12 great grandchildren, Hunter Daigle, Peyton Daigle, Elizah Boone, Oakley Daigle, Paisley Fournet, Fallyn Boone, Easton Fournet, Mavryk Daigle, Frem Frank, Finnley Boone, Charlie Frank, and Frederick Boone.

Although Carolyn spent some time working outside the home, her greatest and most rewarding job was her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved capturing family memories through photographs as evident in the many snapshots that filled her walls and scrapbooks.

Carolyn was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church and an ACTS member. She was well known for her gentle and loving nature for not only her family and friends, but any animal in her care, especially her canine companion, Peppy.

In addition to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Carolyn is survived by her siblings, Sue Viator Boone, Gary Viator, and Troy Viator.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Sulie and Eula Derouen Viator, her brothers, Glenn and Ted Viator and brother-in-law, Skipper Boone.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. A Memorial Mass will be Friday, 11:00am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church.
