JENNINGS- Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Stagg Conner, 95, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Jennings with The Rev. Eric Sonnier and Bro. Brian Wells officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Miguez South Chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at the First Baptist Church of Jennings at 8 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Conner passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at 11:34 p.m. in her residence surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She enjoyed her walking-coffee club and Mary-Martha Sunday school class at the First Baptist Church. She loved watching her grandchildren rodeo and play sports.

Survivors include her two daughters, Susan Conner of Jennings, Kay (Danny) Roshong, of Leesville; her son, Mike Conner of Welsh; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Philip Conner; parents, Albert, and Phosa Walker Stagg; her son, Pat Conner; three sisters, Louise Milner, Helen Evans, and Lois Stagg; and two brothers, Bill and A. L. Stagg Jr.

Pallbearers will be Jade Conner, Scott Conner, Brett Conner, Ray Conner, Jack Iguess, Kade Fontenot, and Jody Fontenot.
