Peggy R. Armistead, age 76, died in a local hospital in Conroe on September 10, 2021. She was born on April 30, 1945. She was a 1963 graduate of Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. Mrs. Armistead moved to Houston at the age of 19 with her husband Bradford Dean Armistead. She worked for over 40 years for the Cy-Fair Independent School District.

Mrs. Armistead was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, raising her children and visiting her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Dean, their son, Wade, and their daughters, Katherine, Cynthia, and Donna, and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters, nieces, nephews, and many friends, including most of the Cy-Fair School District. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Marie and Olive.

A visitation will take place on Friday September 17, 2021 at at Metcalf Funeral Directors in Conroe, Texas from 12pm – 2pm with a funeral service to start at 2pm. Burial services will be in New Ritchie Cemetery, off Clyde Dulaney Road and Paul Bellon Road Moss Bluff, Louisiana, 70611, on Saturday, September 18 at 11 a.m. Flowers can be sent to Metcalf Funeral Home, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX 77304.
