Given the forecasted rain totals associated with Tropical Storm Nicholas, West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital  announces the early closure of some clinic/outpatient services for today. Patients scheduled for an appointment on Tuesday will be contacted by WCCH staff about rescheduling.

All Calcasieu Parish Public schools and facilities are closed today.

All Sowela campuses are closed today, but will reopen Wednesday.

All branches of the Jeff Davis Parish Library are today.

Classes at all Beauregard Parish Schools are canceled today in anticipation of heavy rain and possible flooding from Tropical Storm Nicholas.

Lake Charles City Court is closed today due to upcoming inclement weather.

The Jeff Davis Parish 4-H Jr. Leader meeting scheduled for today has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16.

Due to impending inclement weather conditions, all branches of the Allen Parish Library are closed today.

Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School in Jennings is closed today due to the potential risk for flooding.

All Jeff Davis Parish schools and offices are closed today due to weather. Teachers and students will transition to virtual learning.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board meeting set for tonight has been rescheduled for Thursday.

The three charter schools of Lake Charles are closed today.
