JENNINGS — All schools and office locations in Jeff Davis Parish will be open today Sept. 13, according to Superintendent Kirk Credeur.

Officials are closely monitoring weather conditions that will accompany Tropical Storm Nicholas and will continue to post updates with any potential changes as they develop.

Students with home wifi access who checked out Chromebooks from the school for Hurricane Ida will be able to do so today in case virtual learning would need to take place if conditions for Tropical Storm Nicholas impact the area in the days to come. Parents should contact their child’s school if they have any questions regarding Chromebook checkout.

Parents/guardians are urged to err on the side of caution, and contact their child’s school if their child is unable to be in attendance due to weather conditions.
