Chester Joseph Daigle II

On Saturday, August 21, 2021, the Almighty God in His infinite mercy, called Chester Joseph Daigle II at the age of 63 to a peaceful rest in a land that is free from sickness and pain. He was the fourth of five children born to the union of Chester Joseph Daigle, Sr and Betty Jean Moore Daigle. A local legend in the arts and cultural community for over 30 years, Chester Daigle is a musician extraordinaire who has contributed unselfishly to his local community. He is a 1976 graduate of Lake Charles High School and a 1980 graduate of Northeast University of Monroe, where he acquired a bachelor’s degree in Music, Theory and Composition. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. Along with his wife Patricia, Chester is the owner and founder of Mystery Artists Production and Publishing. They are also the founders of the non-profit educational foundation “Jazz in the Arts. His rich legacy and his compositions, musicality, and spirit of community will continue to inspire future generations through his continuous work and community service. His children aspire to walk in his footsteps toward great musicianship, being business-minded, and community service-oriented. His life is an inspiration to all on faith, strength, and endurance. He is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Daigle. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Patricia Chretien Daigle; his parents Chester Sr. and Betty Daigle; one daughter Jazzelynn M. Daigle of Austin, TX; two sons Chester Daigle III and Jairus Daigle and two stepsons Leonard Offord, Jr, and DeMarcus Jolivette all of Lake Charles, LA; three sisters, Charlotte Huntley of Augusta, GA, Rosa (Tony) Osuoha of Temple, TX, and Deborah Daigle of Lafayette, LA; three sisters-in-law, Veronica (Joseph Sr.) Bilbo, Antionette Faye (Leo, Sr.) Colquitt, and Janet (John Jr.) Lewis all of Lake Charles, LA; four brothers-in-law, Verlin Chretien, Christopher (Velvet) Chretien, Ervin Michael Chretien, and Nathaniel (Barbara) Chretien all of Lake Charles, LA; five grandchildren, Leonard Offord III, DeSean Jolivette, Na’Lainti Daigle, Eriell Beloney and DeMani Jolivette; and a host of Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Chester’s services will be held this Saturday 28, 2021 at New Covenant of Faith Baptist Church, 2233 12th Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Family Viewing is 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m.; Public Viewing is 10:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m.; and the Homegoing Celebratory Service is 1:00 p.m. The Homegoing Celebratory Service is private. The Homegoing Service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live. “MASKS ARE REQUIRED.”
