Earl LaFleur Jr.

Earl LaFleur Jr. passed away on Aug. 20, 2021, in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 73.  He was born on Aug. 18, 1948 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Earl Sr. and Amy (Miller) LaFleur.

Earl retired from the I.L.A. (International Longshoreman Association) Local 2047 in Lake Charles, La.  In 1998 he moved to the Spiro, Okla. area to become a rancher raising chickens and cattle. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles.  Earl was a member of the Spiro First Baptist Church and loved his God and his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Edmonson) LaFleur; daughters, Pamela LaFleur Richey and husband Jeff, Angela LaFleur Theriot and husband Chris, Francie LaFleur Folks and Dean, Catherine LaFleur Grant and husband Colby, Jacqueline LaFleur Floyd and husband Marcus; sons, Craig LaFleur and Garrett LaFleur; sister, Dean LaFleur Soileau and husband Gary; father- and mother- in-law, Bill and Hazel (Cooper) Edmonson; numerous grandchildren, other family and friends .  Preceding him in death are his mother and father.

 Graveside funeral services will be held 11am.m Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021 at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, La. with Brother Jim Myers.  The family will be visiting with friends from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Okla.

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
