Marlin James Bunch, son of Kyle and Judy Bunch; and husband of Beth Bunch, daughter of Pete and Dee Fields, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 20, 2021.

Marlin was born on Jan. 27, 1968 in Sulphur, La. He grew up attending Houston River Baptist Church. Several years ago, he recommitted his life to the Lord. Since then, he served in many churches around the community, teaching and doing ministry with his wife, Beth, “helping people take back what the enemy tried to steal.” He became a student of the Bible and started a text message ministry, sending inspiring devotionals that were shared all over the country.

Marlin was devoted to his family and grandchildren; and was a father to many, even when he didn’t have to be. His passions were serving God, riding his Harley, working in his shop, and making sure the people around him had their needs met ahead of his own. He was well-known for being a man of honor and character who was always willing to do anything that was needed of him. If Marlin couldn’t do it, it couldn’t be done.
