A Westlake man wanted for attempted second-degree murder has been arrested, officials said.
Yani H. Vincent, 20, was considered armed and dangerous, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Cmdr. James McGee said in a news
release. A $500,000 bond has been set. Prior to Vincent's arrest, the Sheriff's Office sent out a request, asking anyone with information on Vincent's whereabouts to come forward.
Around 9:15 p.m. Monday, a person was taken to a local hospital with stab wounds, McGee said. The alleged victim was later released.
McGee said it is believe that the person was stabbed after an altercation with Vincent.
An “extensive search of the area” was made, but Vincent was not found, McGee said.
