SCOTT (AP) — Authorities say a Scott man was arrested after allegedly biting a chunk out of the face of an acquaintance during an attack on Saturday.
Scott Assistant Police Chief Kert Thomas told KATC-TV that 43-year-old Carl Jacquneaux attacked Todd Credeur in Credeur's front yard.
Thomas says during the melee, Jacquneaux bit a chunk out of Credeur's face. He described the fight as a domestic dispute.
Police arrested Jacquneaux later at a home in nearby Carencro.
Police suspect Jacquneaux was under the influence of drugs but can't say with certainty because a blood test was not performed when he was booked into jail on various charges including aggravated second-degree battery. Jacquneaux was being held on $312,500 bond Wednesday in the Lafayette Parish Jail.
Credeur was treated and released from a hospital.
