THIBODAUX (AP) — One Lafourche Parish councilman has filed an assault complaint against another after an argument during a meeting continued outside.
Lafourche sheriff's Capt. Roy Gros tells The Daily Comet that since nobody else was present and the councilmen's accounts differ, no arrest was made pending further review.
Councilman Jerry Lafont told the newspaper that Councilman John Arnold shoved him Tuesday night.
Arnold said he just put his arm up to keep Lafont out of his face.

Title: Is anyone seriously getting as tired of this as I am yet ??
Grow up yet another prime example of ignorant louisiana politicians acting like children.
Ah hey to all elected officials lets finally start to do your jobs.
stop worring about using your power to make money and to get better parking spots and better tee times.
adress the issues , we need leaders to fix roads , schools , and other economic issues that need to be adressed.
What we dont need is more casinos and fraudulant expendatures of tax payers money on laws passed to benefit elected officials bank accounts.
politics are a joke, elected officials are clowns, and nothing ever gets done in louisiana and we elect and pay these people why again?
think its time louisiana does some house cleaning and takes out the trash all of it once and for all.
you would'nt tolerate a coach that cant win at LSU, but you'll tolerate a losing politician to represent you for several years.
Maybe we all need to wake up and finally see that its well past time for a change, and finally start acting to make needed changes.
