BATON ROUGE (AP) — A 23-year-old Baton Rouge man accused of stabbing two dogs with a barbecue pit fork has been arrested and booked into Parish Prison.

The Advocate reports an affidavit of probable cause states Donnie Davis allegedly stabbed the dogs on June 8 at his home.

The affidavit said the barbecue pit fork was still lodged in the wounded dog when deputies arrived at the scene.

Davis was arrested Thursday and booked on two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.

It's not clear whether Davis has an attorney.
