Lake Charles Police are searching for a man wanted for a shooting on St. Mary Drive Sunday.
Malcolm Jamar Zenon, 23, is believed to have shot an 18-year-old man in the 1300 block of St. Mary Drive, Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said in a news release.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Zenon, charging him with second-degree aggravated battery and illegal use of a dangerous weapon or instrumentalities, Kraus said.
Kraus asked anyone with knowledge of Zenon’s location to call Detective Colby Thompson or Sergeant Franklin Fondel at 491-1311. Kraus described Zenon as a 5-foot-8, 155-pound black male.
“Zenon is described as a street person even though he has family living in the Lake Charles area,” Kraus said.
District court Judge Robert Wyatt set Zenon’s bond at $350,0000.
