The following menus for Oct. 21-25 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change. All include choice of milk.

Beauregard Parish

Lunch

Monday: Red beans, rice and sausage, mustard greens, carrot sticks with dip, mixed fruit salad, choice of chilled fruit and cornbread.

Tuesday: Corn dog, baked beans, potato wedges, apple, choice of chilled fruit and oatmeal cookie.

Wednesday: Baked chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, pineapple tidbits, choice of chilled fruit and whole-wheat roll.

Thursday: Cubed pork over rice and gravy, vegetable medley, tossed salad, orange slices and choice of chilled fruit.

Friday: Barbecue burger on whole-wheat bun, sweet potato fries, sandwich salad cup, sliced peaches and choice of chilled fruit.

Calcasieu Parish

Lunch

Monday:

Nachos, charro beans, salsa, watermelon and cornbread.

Tuesday:

Chicken and sausage gumbo, broccoli, sweet yams, pears and whole-wheat roll.

Wednesday:

Beef shepherd pie, cole slaw, grape combination and whole-wheat roll.

Thursday:

Cheese sandwich, tossed salad, cucumbers, cantaloupe and brownie.

Cameron Parish

Lunch

Monday: Breaded chicken patty, fresh baby carrots, tossed salad, chilled peach sliced and sliced wheat bread.

Tuesday: Meatballs with rice and gravy, blackeyed peas, tomato wedges, apple wedges and wheat roll.

Wednesday: Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, fruit cocktail and sliced bread.

Thursday: Baked chicken, sweet peas, dark green salad, fresh fruit cup and whole-wheat biscuit.

Lunch

Monday:

Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, dark greens, carrots, cucumbers, melon or fresh fruit.

Tuesday:

Corn dog, baked beans, fries and fruit cocktail.

Wednesday:

Frito chili pie, celery sticks, whole-kernel corn, pineapple tidbits, and cinnamon roll.

Thursday:

Pork/turkey roast with rice and gravy, black-eyed peas, candied yams and choice of fruit.

Friday:

Spaghetti, lima beans, carrots, spinach and dark greens salad, pears and whole-wheat roll.

Jeff Davis Parish

Lunch

Monday:

Chicken stew over rice, green beans, corn, fruit and roll.

Tuesday: Fish sticks, fries, lettuce and tomato salad, gelatin, fresh fruit and roll.

Wednesday:

Teriyaki chicken over rice, vegetable medley, baked cookie, fruit and roll.

Thursday:

Sausage, beans and rice, okra, fresh fruit and cornbread.

Friday:

Shrimp poppers, cheesy rotini, glazed carrots, peas and fruit.
