The following menus for April 7-11 for area schools have been submitted by supervisors of food services. Menus are subject to change. All include choice of milk.

Beauregard Parish

Lunch

Monday: Chili dog, potato rounds, applesauce and graham crackers.

Tuesday: Beef burrito on whole wheat tortilla, Spanish brown rice, red beans, fiesta salad and apple.

Wednesday: Chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes with gravy, glazed carrots, fresh apple or mixed fruit.

Thursday: Chicken spaghetti, sweet peas, green salad, sliced pears and whole wheat roll.

Friday: Nachos and cheese, fiesta salad, Mexican beans, applesauce and oatmeal cookie.

Cameron Parish

Lunch

Monday: Hamburger, oven fries, and pineapple tidbits.

Tuesday: Chicken fajitas, broccoli florets, flour tortillas, fruit cocktail, and sliced bread.

Wednesday: Beef finger steaks, baked beans, tomatoes, chilled pear halves, and wheat bread.

Thursday: Baked chicken, rice and gravy, black-eyed peas, fresh baby carrots, chilled peach slices, and whole wheat biscuit.

Friday: Fish portion on bun, green beans, tossed salad, and chilled peach slices.

Lunch

Monday:

Hamburger on whole wheat bun, fries, baked beans and mixed fruit cup.

Tuesday:

Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, fresh broccoli, carrots and celery, and sliced apples.

Wednesday:

Country fried steak with creamed potatoes and gravy, spinach and dark greens salad, sliced peaches, and whole wheat roll.

Thursday:

Oven fried chicken, rice dressing, lettuce salad, buttered squash, and fruit cocktail.

Friday:

Cheese nachos with salsa, whole kernel corn, pineapple tidbits, and cinnamon roll.

Jeff Davis Parish

Lunch

Monday:

Beef stew over rice, green beans, yams, cup of fruit, and roll.

Tuesday: Pig in a blanket, fries, baked beans, fresh fruit and baked cookie.

Wednesday:

Chili over rice, collard greens, corn, fruit and cornbread.

Thursday:

Chicken and ham jambalaya, okra and tomatoes, gelatin, fresh fruit and roll.

Friday:

Cheese calzone, fries, carrot sticks with dip, wafers and fruit.
